Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International has ended its annual convention with a call on Christian women to bring about changes that would make an impact in their communities.

Apostle Dr Stephen K. Amoani, Chairman of the CAC International, said the women could make the best impact in bringing peace and development in their communities and wherever they found themselves if they led lives worthy of emulation.

Apostle Amoani was addressing the closing ceremony of the four-day convention held at the Koforidua Jackson Park from Thursday August 5 to 8, on the theme: 93The Woman God Uses for Kingdom Expansion".

It was attended by about 10, 000 women from all over the country as well as branches in Togo, Benin and Cote D'Ivoire.

Also in attendance were the Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the MP for New Juaben, Madam Beatrice Boateng and a representative of the Paramount Chief of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Prof Oti Boateng.

Apostle Amoani said God had a good reason for creating the women since he had prepared them to become the pivot around which all the good things in life would evolve.

"Though the man was the first to be created, God purposely added the woman because she is to be a great blessing not only to the man but for all creation."

"That is the more reason why women should put their time to better use in cultivating 91a very positive behaviour' and the habit of making themselves as vessels for expansion for the benefit of their families, communities and the nation as a whole.

"Women are a very important tool in any development agenda. They =91can build and destroy.' The Christian woman should not be a destroyer but a builder so as to become the agent of development that God had planned."

Apostle Amoani named some of the biblical women as Sarah, Debora, Esther, Mary, Moses' mother and the Samaritan woman whom he described as women of excellence and instruments of good change in their times and asked the women to copy the various examples of those women.

He asked them to use the 93Grace" bestowed on them by God to bring out their talents and gifts not necessarily as homemakers but also as leaders who would stand out and shine in their respective individual abilities.

"Do away with any negative tendencies such as rumour mongering, backbiting, bickering and gossiping. Rather stand up, shine and ministers of the word of God so as to take dominium of the whole world," Apostle Amoani added.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo appealed to women to train their children to become "God fearing because the trends in the world are leading a lot of them astray."

He said for example if the girls were 93coached" properly, the incidence of rape cases would reduce drastically instead of the escalating numbers since the way some of the girls dressed were a source of concern.

"When they return from school with lots of material things which were not provided by you as a parent, you as the mother should have the moral courage to ask for the source. In the same way, the boys should be encouraged to spend their time with their books instead of going to the caf=E9 where they engage in dubious activities such as 93Sakawa"."

The women were led by Apostle Emmanuel O. Donkor, General Secretary of the Church to pray for the President and his Ministers, Parliamentarians and the nation as a whole.
