The Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church has appealed to Ghanaians to protect and maintain the peace that the country was enjoying after the Supreme Court ruling on the 2012 election petition.

The church urged the government and the labour unions to keep faith with each other to forestall any labour agitation in the country.

This was contained in a communiqué issued by the church at the end of its 11th Synod in Koforidua.

The Church advised all government appointees and office holders to discharge their duties diligently to avoid causing financial loss to the state.

It urged all Ghanaians irrespective of their political affiliations, creed or religion, to rise up and join hands to build the country.

The communiqué condemned homosexual relationships and appealed to the government to support the church to rehabilitate victims of same sex relations.
