Tema, April 24, GNA - The remains of Mr Ben Entwi, a veteran Journalist, has been laid to rest at the Methodist Church Cemetery, Kpone near Tema on Saturday.
Employed in 1966 by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) as a Sub-Editor, the late Entwi rose to the position of a Chief Sub-Editor and left the Agency in 1975 to join the Ghana Highway Authority as the Director of Public Affairs. He was a part-time lecturer in Public Relations and Advertising at the School of Communications at the University of Ghana, Legon. He also served as an external examiner in Public Relations and Advertising with the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
Late Entwi left behind five children and 11 grandchildren. Preaching a sermon at the burial and thanksgiving service at the Methodist Bethel Church, Tema, the Right Reverend Acheamfour Yeboah, immediate past Bishop of the Tema Circuit of the Church, described the late Mr Entwi as friendly and a devoted worker, who led a Christ-like life worthy of emulation.
He said whiles he was sick, Mr Entwi did not forget his maker until death took him away. Rt. Rev. Yeboah also charged Christians not to desert God in times of disappointments and difficulties.
