Lead useful lives; Christians urged

Mon, 18 Jan 2016 Source: GNA

Venerable Francis Onisius Obeng of Nsawam St John Anglican Church has said Christianity is not demonstrated by long prayers and an exhibition of knowledge about the scriptures.

He said what is important is the ability to translate the teachings of the Bible into one’s life style so that by their daily relationship with others they could play useful role models and help change the world.

Venerable Obeng said this during the ordination of Reverend Richard Kissi, a 37 year old teacher of Kibi Anglican Junior High School.

The ordination ceremony was performed by Right Reverend Francis Benjamin Quarshie, Anglican Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese.

Venerable Obeng urged Reverend Kissi, who was ordained as a Deacon (which is the first stage of the ordination process) be a servant of his congregation and always seek the guidance from God.
