Members of the Sekyere Presbyterian Church Men’s Fellowship have ended their 11th anniversary and conference with a call on leaders to lead exemplary lives.
Reverend Ernest Odame Asare, the Chairman of the Presbytery, who made the call, challenged men to desist from taking alcoholic beverages to ensure a better well-being and that of their families.
He said drunkenness had ruined many lives, jobs and marriages of most men and the education of their children.
Rev. Odame called on leaders to repent from their sins, give their lives to Jesus Christ, lead responsible lives and allow the Holy Spirit to fill them.
He said a Holy Spirit filled person would fear the Lord and would not indulge in corrupt practices which had become a serious social canker.
During the three-day conference under theme: "Be Filled with the Holy Spirit," the Men's Fellowship discussed health issues, the good of the Fellowship and embarked on house-to-house evangelism.
The conference was climaxed with a thanksgiving service at the Agona Presbyterian Church.
