The Church of Pentecost in the Abeka District has ended this year’s Christmas Convention with a call on members to allow the peace that the birth of Christ brought into the world to rule in their hearts.
The four day convention brought together five Assemblies within the District to experience God through powerful ministration, worship, prayer and deliverance, impartation and restoration.
The event was dubbed, “Let the peace of Christ the New Born King Reign in you”
Pastor Henry Sowah Akonai, the District Pastor, advised the congregation to glorify the name of God by living exemplary lives in their endeavors as he ministered from the books of Colossians 3:15 and Luke 2:1-15.
He said most believers find themselves in the bondage of fear concerning different aspects of their lives because they did not have the peace of God in their lives.
Pastor Akonai said the presence of God’s peace in the believer’s lives would enable him to live at peace with other people, even as they portray acts of humility and commitment in all things.
He appealed to the gathered congregation to reflect on the reason for the birth of Christ and surrender their lives totally to Him since Jesus Christ is the only one who could provide the needed peace for the world.
As part of activities of the event, the church embarked on a door-to-door evangelism to share the gospel with other people in the area.
