Many Men of God can be accused of infidelity as compared to their wives yet because of the society’s perception of pastors, their excesses are explained off as ambassadors of God. Therefore, most people would not listen to the wife of a pastor who complains about the immoral activities of their husbands and their sexual starvation.
In an interview with Rainbow Radio, Pastor Amoasi Okyere, of the Onyame Gya Prayer Camp said, divorce in the Christian community is on the ascendancy of which a large section involves Men of God and their wives.
Divorce, he said, is not an option in a Christian marriage because of which most Christian families keep quiet under suppression.
Pastor Okyere was also quick to give the spiritual dimension of Christian marriages being under spiritual attack, hence the need for married couples to be more vigilant.
Most wives of pastors are relegated to the background in the activities of the man, and this creates an opportunity for some pastors to be involved in immoral activities, yet it is difficult for the membership of the Church to believe it, should they be informed.
Some, according to Pastor Okyere, the double lives of some Men of God affects their children’s upbringing, and they end up living questionable lives below society’s expectation of them.
