Takoradi, Sept 6, GNA - The Methodist Youths Fellowship of Ghana on Tuesday expressed worry over homosexuality and politics of insults that are creeping into the society.

The Fellowship, in a communiqué to mark the end of their 12 Biennial National Delegates conference, said “We the youths call on the state and the church to come out strongly to condemn these detestable acts and pray fervently against it in order to avert the anger of God”.

The communiqué said politics of insults promoted by some media houses and political parties was unacceptable.

“We therefore call on all political parties to be mindful of the fact that the nation is of one people and should therefore stay focused on their political ideology and messages devoid of insults”.

The communiqué appealed to the youth to stay out of social vices and find something productive to do with their time and energy.

It also urged the leadership of the state to find lasting solution to the problem of unemployment, poverty and other social vices.

The Fellowship also called on the leadership of the church to promote unity among the members and organizations in the church and discard the perception that young people were only good for certain activities and not decision-making.
