Cambridge graduate MoknaJeeba Fiifi Jehu-Appiah became the new man after God’s heart, when the dedicated caucus of Musama Disco Christo Church picked him from a pull of qualifiers from the JEHU-APPIAH household to replace yesterday man, Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah, who has effectively been defrocked for acts incompatible with the commands of Jesus Christ.

The new AKAHOHA is therefore the fourth since his grandfather Jemisimiham Jehu-Appiah, his father Prophet Dr. Mathapoly Moses Jehu-Appiah, and his half-brother Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah ascended the throne as the General Prophet of the MDCC.

Quite interestingly Akaboha Jeeba ascends the throne at 48, just at the very milestone his father, Dr. Mathapoly Moses Jehu-Appiah bowed to icy death in the wee years of the 1970s. An overly-excited MDCC, (Army of The Cross), congregation could not help but sing happily to the roofs of heaven with echo-effect, as Senior Superintendent James Kinokosu Addai and Senior Prophet Ankomah administered the traditional spiritual oath that effectively passed the mantle of leadership from a nauseatingly pitiful age, to the new man at a church service at Gomoa Mozano, in the Central region. Prophet Jehu-Appiah’s ordination was made possible as a result of a court ruling initiated by the elders of the church that deposed Akaboha III, Prophet Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah for bringing his office into disrepute, so wild beyond repair. Prophet Hubamoulda Alexis Jehu-Appiah Public Relations Officer of the MDCC, told THE SUN’S SPOTLIGHT TEAM the other day that the installation and ordination of the new Akaboha followed a long period of prayers and fasting by the prophets and prophetesses of the Church to choose a new leader for the Church. He expressed the hope that the ceremony would re-unite members of the Pentecostal faith and rejuvenate their Christian lives. The eloquent-to-a-fault Akaboha looks to posses so much in reserve, and has already stressed the need for Christians to strive for peace and harmony to facilitate the growth of their Christian lives. Akaboha IV attended Apam Secondary School from 1973 to 1980 and wormed his way into a degree programme at the University of Ghana, where he obtained Bachelor of Arts in English.

A well-connected gentleman of many parts, the new Akaboha undertook a course of study in methodology in various programmes in Moscow, Budapest and Cambridge. Since 1999, Akaboha IV has been an examiner with the International Baccalaure Organisation (IBO), aside carrying out various researches in religion. He is the son of the late Prophet Dr. Mathapoly Moses Jehu-Appiah, the Akaboha II and has, despite his priestly and saintly looks, littered the world with two children by a beautifully-contoured wife, a former State Attorney now domiciled in London.

MDCC was founded by Prophet Jemisimiham Jehu-Appiah, Akaboha I, in 1917 from a breakaway faction of the Methodist Church, and was registered as a Church in 1922.
