Holy Fire Dynamic Word International Church is becoming of the most popular Ghanaian Churches in the New York area. The church was the place to be on New Year's eve as the world welcomes the year 2007.
The message of the year was; A YEAR OF PERFECTION, quoted from Job, Chap. 5 vs 19-27. The event started with praises and worship led by; Gospel music star; Felicty Amoah and later Nana Nyarko, Obomanhene of New York offered some words of exultation encouraging the congregation to always change their way of thinking and should lean on to God for his understanding.
Few moments before the year 2007 appears; the Host Pastor; Rev. Eric Kofi Owusu requested the whole sanctuary to be in darkness and the lights went off. He then requested the congregation to pray and then raising their handkerchiefs praising God for his blessings throughout 2006. He said those who missed their blessings in 2006, they will receive it abundantly in 2007.
When the year 2007 arrived, there were lots of jubilation and the whole sanctuary went beserk with dancing.
Then came the memorable moment, the anointed man of God; Rev. Owusu announced that the entire congregation would be crossing the Jordon river, he called; CROSSING YOUR JORDAN quoted from Joshua 4v15.
Indeed a long white line symbolizing the river was drawn at the front of the Sanctuary and the pastor stood in an orange container filled with water and oil. Each member of congregation crossed the line and was received by the man of God. It is was an inspirational moment to watch as many people were filled with joy that crossing jordon was a symbol of hope, breaking away from the enemy and also hardships. They believed that 2007 was going to be a year of perfection for all.
