New church building dedicated at Deasempah

Deasempah (B/A), Feb. 7, - A GH¢ 3,000 building for Builders Christian and Nyame Tease Church Prayer Ministry that has the capacity for 800 persons has been dedicated at Deasempah, near Techiman. The ceremony attracted chiefs, elders, Parliamentarians, District Chief Executives, pastors and opinion leaders.

Bishop Thomas Yeboah-Afari, head pastor and founder of the Church in a welcoming address said the project was started five years ago with a donation of GHC 700.

He said by the Grace of God, he and the congregation had, by dint of hard work and with the support of sympathizers, been able to put up the building.

Bishop Yeboah-Afari said the church was not solely dedicated to solving the spiritual needs of the people but their physical and financial needs as well.

He said plans were far advanced to put up a mission house and a prayer village where people with problems could seek solution to their problems and asked for the cooperation of all. Pastor Prince Issah Richie, who led a delegation from Italy, commended the chiefs and people of Techiman for their support towards the completion of the project.

He noted that Ghanaians had been blessed, taking into account the numerous natural resources the country was endowed with but what was needed was for Ghanaians to humble themselves before the Lord and do away with evil deeds.

Mr. Addai Simons, Member of Parliament for Techiman South, advised the people to contribute positively to the development of the country. He urged the youth to use their time profitably and not to waste their energies on unproductive ventures. Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman traditional area, stressed that chiefs and pastors played complementary roles towards improving the lot of their people. He commended Bishop Yeboah-Afari for what he had been able to accomplish for the past five years of the inception of the church and gave assurance of his support towards the construction of the mission house.
