No indiscipline act recorded in Eid celebration – Police

The Ghana Police Service has lauded Moslems in the country for being moderate in this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration which came to an end on Friday, as no indiscipline act was recorded.

According to the police, the celebration was the best as compared to previous years.

The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, who spoke to Montie fm on Friday, described the celebration as unique.

According to him, the use of motor-bikes in the celebration was also done in moderation as no casualty was recorded as a result of motor accident, adding that the police prior to the festival educated the Muslim youth on the dangers riding motor-bikes recklessly.

DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno also praised the Muslim leadership for educating their followers on the acceptable behaviour during the period of the celebration.
