The Adullam Orphanage at Obuasi has appealed to the public to come to their aid to help develop the hidden potentials of the over 100 inmates.
Pastor James Sundia, a member of the Board of Governors of the orphanage, made the appeal when the Youth of the Obuasi Abompe SDA Church in collaboration with the Momen’s Ministry presented assorted items to the Orphanage to support the upkeep of the inmates who are between zero to18years.
The items valued over 1500 Ghana cedis included used clothes, bags of rice and corn, tin tomatoes, cooking oil, toiletries and beverages.
Pastor Baffour Kofi Asante, the Obuasi East District Pastor of the Church, quoted James 1:27 from the Bible and urged Christians to always show love and affection to the needy.
The Orphanage again called on philanthropists, construction firms and well-meaning individuals to assist them to complete a 3-storey senior high school block for the inmates.
Currently 32 of the inmates are at various senior high schools in the country, with four others at the higher institutions of learning.
