Agona Swedru, April 13, GNA - Apostle Samuel Nelson-Brako, Swedru Area Head of the Apostolic Church Ghana, has appealed to Ghanaians not to allow partisan politics to divide them. "Politics should not disintegrate us but should reconcile and unite us since it is through this that we can achieve socio- cultural and economic development," he said.
Apostle Nelson-Brako said this at a four-day Easter convention organized by the Swedru area branch of the Church at Agona Swedru. It was under the theme "Resurrection power of Jesus Christ and its benefit to Christians." He said Ghanaians needed love and unity and not disturbances which could lead to instability and destruction of life and property. Apostle Nelson-Brako expressed regret about recent ethnic crisis which erupted in certain parts of the country and urged people to stop personal hatred and "pull him down attitudes" because they did not promote nation building.
Apostle Nelson-Brako appealed to Christians to step up their prayers for God to shower His blessings on the nation and the new government under the leadership of President John Atta Mills. He appealed to God to give the President and his cabinet ministers wisdom and direction to govern the nation well. 13 April 09
