Pastors urged to organize prayers towards SC’s ruling

Mr Wisdom Kumah Wormanor, Tema District Youth leader of the Great Commission Church International has urged pastors and other religious leaders to organize special prayers towards the Supreme Court’s (SC) ruling on the presidential petition.

He said: “Ghana is a peaceful country and we cannot afford to take this for granted but rise to the task of prayers so that there would be a divine intervention to avoid any mayhem after the Court’s ruling”.

Mr Wormanor, who made the remark on Sunday in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Tema, also appealed to the Christian Council of Ghana and the Ghana Pentecostal Council to move their followers into fasting and prayers for the nation in order to secure its destiny in the aftermath of the SC’s ruling.

He urged Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and other men of God, who in times past championed powerful national prayers sessions during election years to put on their prayer mantles and move the people of God into prayer for the nation.

He commended Women Aglow – Ghana, for their prayers for the nation over the years and reminded them that mother Ghana now needs their prayers more than ever.

Mr Wormanor said through the prayers of all and sundry backed by divine intervention, the SC could deliver a verdict that would be acceptable to all and Ghana would forever remain the shining star of Africa.

He said: “We have only one Ghana, and in its peace and stability, we can find our prosperity, this is something that we must all cherish”.
