Prophet calls for Christian Council intervention

Head Pastor of Power of Mantle Chapel, Prophet Ernest Kesse, popularly known as Agabus, has called on the leadership of the Christian Council of Ghana to quickly intervene in the impasse between striking doctors and the government, and appeal to doctors to go back to work before many precious lives are lost.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE about the worrying situation of doctors declaring strike on their conditions of service, Prophet Agabus said the Christian Council of Ghana must step in to convince the doctors to go back to work while the government engages them over their conditions of service.

According to the head pastor of Power of Mantle Chapel, the doctors may have good reasons to declare the strike action but they must consider their Christian principles and return to work in order to save precious lives.

“In our everyday lives, we see doctors as professionals whose works are closely associated with that of God’s and therefore the Christian Council must implore them to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ Our Saviour for the sake of humanity,” he said.

Prophet Agabus also appealed to the government to soften its stance on demands by the doctors and ensure that doctors are given their due in terms of fair wages and conditions of service.

He, however, expressed the hope that pastors who have the call of healing to also step in the meantime to save suffering Ghanaians from many chronic illnesses.
