Akim Oda (E/R), Feb. 12, GNA - A prophetess of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), has observed that media practitioners wield a lot of power an= d influence, hence the need for them to be morally responsible in shaping ideas and influencing behaviour.
Prophetess Quayeba Breda asked journalists to strive to use their profession in building a healthy society.
Prophetess Elizabeth Quayeba Bredu in charge of the 93Promise land Prayer Camp of the CAC, was closing a five-day revival held by the Camp at Anum Apapam in the Eastern Region.
She called on journalists to endeavour to exercise wisdom, good judgment and fairness in their reportage, in respect of sexuality, marriage and family life, so as to build a sound, humane society that cherish values.
Prophetess Quayeba said a good article in the mass media helped to inform and educate the public about issues, which tend to facilitate efficiency and productivity.
She therefore asked the media to desist from publishing irresponsible issues that could create passion and lead to national chaos and soil the hard worn image of personalities.
The Prophetess advised parents to train children to be moderate, critical, watchful and prudent in the way they use especially the electroni= c media in order not to be exposed to immoral values. The revival, which was attended by 120 delegates from the Region including the clergy, was used to offer intercessory prayers for the President, Ministers of State, the nation and the sick.
