Accra, April 13, GNA - Religious leaders in the country have been called upon to use the pulpit to educate their members on government's policies and programmes. Elder Kofi Arhin, Presiding Elder of the Kaneshie Branch of the Christian Divine Church, made the call in Accra on Sunday. He said such education would go a long way to help members to know at first hand the policies being implemented by the government.
Elder Arhin charged Christians to exercise their franchise massively on December 7, although the day falls on Sunday. "Sunday is like any other day," he said adding that Christians should not find excuses that they would get tired after church service. The Presiding Elder said Christians should either vote before they go to church or vote after church service. He asked the electorate to reject any politician who mounted platforms with abusive and inflammatory words.
"Ghana is a peaceful country so we should not sit down for a few disgruntled politicians to sow seeds of discord among us," he said and asked the electorate to vote for people who have the development of the nation at heart.
