Reverend Samuel B. Arloo, President of the Eastern Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, has called on Christians to avoid fomenting trouble as we head towards the November elections.

He said if there is any Christian who has energy to waste in fighting, he or she should direct those resources into evangelism for Jesus Christ.

Rev Arloo said this during the observation of the Bible Sunday in the Eastern Region at the Calvary Methodist Church, at Adweso near Koforidua.

He said the church has been invaded by magicians and fetish practitioners who are always ready to perform wonders and advised Christians to be wise and discerning.

Rev Arloo said the country is going through difficult times adding that if all those who gather at the church to worship as Christians would be honest at their place of work, in their homes and community, Ghana would be a better place.

Mr Nathaniel Nunoo, immediate past Church Relations Manager of the Bible Society of Ghana, appealed to established printing houses which can print bibles in the country to get into contact with the Society for business contracts.

Throughout Africa, it is only in South Africa that the Association could get a printing house that could print bibles and the price is quite high, he said.

Mr Nunoo appealed for support to enable the Bible Society of Ghana to have the bible translated into many Ghanaian languages to make it possible for as many people as possible in the country to get access to bibles.
