Apostle Dr Stephen K. Amoani, Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), has condemned acts of violence meted out to people, especially children and women.
Apostle Dr Amoani noted that perpetrators of violence lacked love thus they met out heinous crimes to people, especially their loved ones.
According to him, “It is surprising to see couples who have been madly in love later pulling guns and other destructive implements to use against their spouses and sometimes children.”
He urged the public to exhibit greater sense of love towards one another and avoid exhibiting traits of vices that had disastrous consequences on families and the society as a whole.
Apostle Dr Amoani also condemned the acts of violence being reportedly extended to the Biometric Registration Process, and said the perpetrators must be stopped because those acts did not speak well of Ghanaians.
He was speaking at the Church’s Easter Convention at Nima in Accra under the theme: “That I May Know Him.”
He noted, the Registration Exercise is only a process that would propel Ghana's democratic governance, stressing the need for Christians to be deeply rooted in the love of God so they could extend same to their colleagues.
“You will have eternal life when the love of God touches you, and you extend same to all,” he declared.
Apostle Amoani noted that, Easter, which is the basis of Christianity, was to enable Christians to extend love towards all irrespective of one’s colour, race, religion and gender.
According to him, God did not extend his love to people based on their colour, race and denomination, saying, “if you have been rejected by family, relations or friends, remember that God loves you.
“For God so love the world that he gave out his son to die for us.”
He asked the congregation not to pay lip services to God that they loved him but do well to extend that love to all and not for of their money, race, colour or prestige.
He used the occasion to outdoor the Church’s English and Akan hymns, which have been compiled on compact disc.
The local Pastor, the Reverend Osei Yaw Danquah, led the congregation to pray for the national leadership, the Electoral Process and the nation as a whole.**
