Kumasi, Nov. 12, GNA- Thirty-one pastors drawn from different churches have been ordained into priesthood after pursuing courses in theology, pulpit manners and church administration at the Agape Christian Ministers' College in Kumasi.

The theme for the occasion was "Woe unto me if I don't preach the gospel".

Reverend Dr Atta Amofah, General Overseer of the Pentecostal Life Church, who performed the ordination, urged the pastors not to use the pulpit to preach bitterness but rather the gospel, which is Christ-centered.

He reminded them of their onerous task as watchmen of the dying generation and must therefore be submissive to authority and "in due time the Lord will lift them up".

Rev Dr Amofah urged them to be responsive to the needs of their congregations and also be truthful and trustworthy in their daily lives in order to win the confidence of their members.

Rev Solomon Egyir, Principal of the Agape Christian Ministers' Colleges, said sanctification means "to make holy, to consecrate, to separate from the world and to be set free from sin so that we may have intimate fellowship with God and serve Him gladly". He urged all and sundry to support pastors, friends and relatives to be enrolled at the college to be trained for a fruitful ministry. Certificates were awarded to the new pastors.
