Victory Bible Church consecrates six new bishops

The Presiding Bishop of the Victory Bible Church International, Right Reverend Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi has charged Ministers of the Gospel not to remain local champions.

He said what is required of them is to launch deep into evangelism and win more souls for Christ.

He said some nations that started with God are turning their back on Him and so the Church needs more missionaries to go out with the Gospel of truth to win souls from across the globe.

Bishop Tackie-Yarboi was speaking at an Episcopal Consecration Service to elevate six Reverend Ministers who for many years have served the church in various capacities, to the office of a Bishop at the Dominion Sanctuary, the Church’s Headquarters at Awoshie in Accra.

They are Bishops Richard Ampadu-Duku Overseer of the Western and Central as well as the resident pastor of the Family Sanctuary in Cape Coast, Elijah Saforo, Sector Overseer of the North American branch and Gershon Tamakloe, Priesthood Director and Resident Pastor of the Dominion Sanctuary.

The rest are Ebenezer Kofi Sendey, Assistant Sector Overseer of Europe and the Minister in charge of Pastoral Affairs, Frank Adjei Danso, Deputy Missions Director of the Church and Albert Kwasi Asante, Resident Pastor of the Destiny Sanctuary, Kasoa and Overseer of District ‘C’ which comprises seven branches of the Church.

Bishop Tackie-Yarboi expressed concern that some Christian countries are becoming liberal and allowing ungodly acts in the Church and charged Christians to remain steadfast in the Lord and never to compromise their stance.

“Leaders should also encourage the youth to take up leadership positions as a challenge to shape and mould them into dynamic leaders who will pull their peers into the kingdom of Christ,” he said.

In her words of exhortation to the newly consecrated Bishops, Reverend Dr Christy Doe Tetteh, Leader of Solid Rock Chapel International, reminded them that their newly assigned role is a load of hard work and is more of warfare.

“But if you allow God to express Himself through you, you will go out there and make a difference,” she said.
