Larteh-Akuapem (E/R), July 6, GNA - The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt. Rev. Francis Benjamin Quashie, on Sunday ordained three Deacons who have graduated from the St. Nicholas Theological College into the priesthood.
The three were Rev. Father Samuel Benjamin Kofi Anim, 31, Rev. Fr. John Narh Tetteh, 24 and Rev. Fr. Rodger Mate-Kodjo, 28. In a sermon, Rev. Fr. Seth Amoako-Adu, parish priest of the Nsawam Anglican Church, advised the newly ordained to be the icon of Jesus Christ in whatever they do in order to safeguard the reverence that priesthood currently enjoyed among Ghanaians. He noted that the three were being ordained at a time society was perceived to be much troubled and politically divided. He therefore advised them to be careful and always prove that they are true servants of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Fr. Amoako-Adu advised the electorate not to fall for monetary or material influence during the elections in December, saying their vote would decide the future of the nation and generations unborn.
