Hwidiem (BAR), Jan. 13, GNA - The Mid-West Ghana Conference of Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at the weekend ordained seven Pastors with a call on them to avoid abusing their respect and honour. "You have opportunities in Jesus Christ and you do not need to take undue advantage of the honour and respect accorded to you in the church and communities," Pastor Felix Yaw Adu Gyamfi, Ministerial Secretary of Ghana Union Conference of the church said.

Delivering the sermon on the theme, "You are God's Ambassadors" Pastor Adu Gyamfi urged the new Pastors to spread the Word of God to win more souls for Jesus Christ.

He advised them to remain loyal to the church and Jesus Christ, be steadfast and conscientious in their work to establish good, fruitful and cordial relations with their congregations. "Be prepared at all times to defend the Word of God and make religion attractive to other people, including unbelievers, through your lifestyles and demeanour in your communities," Pastor Adu Gyamfi added. He urged the Pastors, who graduated from Valley View University, to fully participate in all church activities and develop a high level of spirituality to guide their congregations to salvation. Pastor Adu Gyamfi advised them to avoid practices that would cast a slur on their image as ambassadors of Jesus Christ and help minimise social vices that had engulfed the society. Pastor E.M. Aborampah, Executive Secretary of the Church told newsmen that the ordination was part of a four-day meeting of Leaders' Council and Pastors who deliberated on issues pertaining to the Church's growth.

It was under the theme, "Mission of Hope".

The ordained Pastors were, Ransford Robert Yeboah, Peter Oscar Nsiah, Agyei Aduse-Poku, Maxwell Awuah Boateng Obour, Stephen Darkwa, Daniel Brafi and Ebenezer Kumi Odame.
