Accra, May 22, GNA - The Archbishop of the Accra Diocese, Mr. Charles Palmer-Buckle, has called on law students not to hesitate to draw the attention of the Church when they believed it was going wrong. Inaugurating the Catholic Law Students Guild (CALS Guild) of the Ghana School of Law in Accra on Wednesday, Archbishop Palmer-Buckle said they should stand firm and challenge what they thought was incorrect no matter who was doing it or saying it.

He said this would help to transform the entire human society and make the world a better place.

He took the students through laws of the Bible and called on them to study them in addition to the normal societal laws to expand their scope of knowledge in the law and other general issues. Archbishop Palmer-Buckle also urged the students to periodically organize study weeks to engage in legal arguments on general issues, especially such as those that concerned the church. He promised to avail himself of any services that the CALS Guild might want him to render at any specific function. Ms. Christine Boamah, President of the CALS Guild, said the birth of the Guild was opportune as it sought to promote the interests of Catholic students on the campus.

She called for collaboration to make the Guild live up to its objectives. 22 May, 09 ATTENTION RECIPIENTS: ITEM 25 ENDS OUR THIRD TRANSMISSION
