Archbishop Duncan-Williams has made a very valid point.In all walks of life it is important for people to show some gratitude to those who helped them along the way to get to where they are today. Ingratitude always has consequences. And needless to say the worst form of ingratitude is to repay evil for good whether by our actions or through the use of the little but potent organ inside our mouths.Denigrating those who have helped you in the past for whatever reason is not wise.
A great example is that of the attitude of David towards King Saul.Even when Saul turned into a bitter enemy desiring David's death a righteous David refused to speak ill of King Saul or even physically harm King Saul when he had the opportunity to do so on more than one occasion. It was one of the hallmarks of David's greatness.
