Family of the late Mrs. Lucy Peprah-Tawiah presented the Generator Plant to the Church
The family of the late Mrs. Lucy Peprah-Tawiah, a retired Educationist and Foundress of the Catholic Twins Society, has donated a $7,000 Generator Plant to the Blessed Sacrament Church at Abelenkpe to mark her first Anniversary of death.
Mrs. Peprah- Tawiah, who was the first Ghanaian Principal of St. Monica’s Training College, Ashanti Mampong, died on November 12, 2016 after she was murdered by her Burkinabe watchman at her residence at Abelenkpe.
The presentation was made on behalf of the family by the Siblings, Mrs. Esther Hamilton (the twin Sister) who is a retired Educationist and Mrs. Christiana Boadu.
Rev. Fr. Precious Nutsugah, Parish Priest of the Blessed Sacrament Church, who thanked the family for the Plant, said it would help solving the power problems of the Parish and asked for God’s continuous blessings on the family.
The blessing was performed by Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Adu Mensah, chancellor of the Accra Archdiocese, who earlier presided over a Thanksgiving Mass. It was concelebrated by Rev. Frs. Nutsugah, Kibrom Tseggai, Assistant Priest of Abelenkpe; Emmanuel Obeng Cudjoe, Priest -in -charge of St. Dominic Church at Taifa, Accra.
In a homily, Fr. Adu Mensah asked the faithful never to doubt God because he never disappoints, urging them to always pray and rejoice in everything in spite of their challenges, difficulties, troubles and problems.
He urged the Congregation to give thanks to God for his manifold blessings.
The family later went to the Osu cemetery to bless and unveil the tomb of Mrs. Lucy Peprah-Tawiah.
