The African University Campus Christian Fellowship, AUCCF, is calling on all and sundry to join them celebrate the victory of Jesus Christ over the devil at the programme dubbed HolyThon, the Marathon of Holiness. It is slated for this Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Forecourt of AUCC, Adabraka at 4:00 p.m. prompt.

HolyThon is a worship service dedicated to the celebration of the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ over the devil and the reminder of one another about the one duty that the Christian is called to perform in appreciation of God’s saving grace. Our core belief is that the power of the Blood, with which God had bought the Church, is the eternal power of victory over evil, and that the purpose of this purchase is for the Church to be the embodiment of holiness on earth.

This belief is grounded in the biblical truths that we have overcome all satanic forces by the Blood and Testimony of Jesus Christ, and that God had chosen and blessed us in Him with all spiritual blessings in order to have us embody holiness on earth, (Revelation 12:11; Ephesians 1:3-4; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 1 Thessalonians 4:7).

Indeed, salvation is divine election and appointment to service in holiness and righteousness; the service of worshipping God in spirit and in truth for the effulgence of His glory on earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ unambiguously revealed that the Christian is one chosen and appointed to glorify God through holy living. This is the truth of the Christian service that HolyThon, the Marathon of Holiness, exemplifies.

Reckoning that God, of His mercies, wakes Christians up daily to have them offer their bodies a living holy sacrifice to Him by the same mercies, AUCCF does seek to be the leading body in the rendering of the Christian service on earth, (Lamentations 3:22; Romans 12:1). On the ground of HolyThon, we then worship God in the beauty of holiness, rejoicing in His victorious leading of us through Jesus Christ and availing ourselves for His use to spread the sweet smelling aroma of His knowledge to the souls that grace the service, (2 Corinthians 2:14).

The minister, who will lead the Fellowship to offer up prayers to God, is the president, Mr. Silvanus Meansah Commey. He is a diehard follower of Christ whose life challenges many students to live holy. The song ministration will be led by the anointed voices of Throneroom Worship United, the Fellowship’s choir under the headship of Ms. Dorcas Mawuli Nyarko.

Other song ministers are Pastor John Burnard Sossou, Mr. Noel Afenya, and Ms. Harriet Ashong, all students of AUCC. Guest ministers are Pastor Martin Bandim from the Evangel Assemblies of God, Minister Prince from Dominion Mandate Chapel at Kotobabi, and Mr. Eugene Amoah Ampadu, a former student of AUCC.
