A pastor, Rev. Ransford Obeng, has expressed the controversial opinion that some men of God are operating under powers of demonic spirits and that is why they could give away gifts.

The head pastor of Calvary Charismatic Church, Rev. Ransford Obeng, believes some of the Christian preachers are given abilities by demonic spirits and that some of the gifts they give away is as a result of these abilities.

In a report YEN.com.gh sighted on Mynewsgh.com, Rev Obeng was quoted as saying. “Pastors dashing valuable items such as cars are occultists and thieves.”

According to Rev. Obeng, if a congregation like CCC is struggling to foot all its expenses, it is weird to see a pastor dashing cars and giving monies to his followers without any work done.

“These so-called pastors are thieves operating under evil spirit who are fleecing people under pretest of preaching the Gospel truth.”

Although Rev. Obeng mentioned no names, it is an open secret that contrroversial Ghanaian preacher and businessman, Reverend Obofour, is among those in the country who have been giving out vehicles to people.

Obofour however states that the money used in acquiring property are not from his Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) but businesses.

He is quoted as saying: “People don’t know me; the church does not take care of me. I have traveled with the Foreign Affairs Minister to Europe to look for investors. I am a businessman, not a joker. I have more than 14 to 15 serious companies. I do not take offerings in my church but the money I make from the witches cream I sell for just a week can purchase over 20 cars.”
