The New Free Press after 4 months of quiet investigations into bribery allegations against Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan and Amadu Sulley of the Electoral Commission of Ghana ,including interviews with former and current Electoral Commission staff can confirm without apology and with 100% certainty that Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan and Amadu Sulley ,Director of Operations of the Electoral Commission did received bribes totalling 2 million US dollars.

These bribes were paid in 4 instalments , in accounts at various branches of Unibank in Accra Kumasi and Takoradi .They were opened for Dr Afari Gyan and Amadu Sulley by the former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor.

They also received undisclosed amounts from Superlock Technologies, the company that supplied biometric equipment over 2 years from November 2010 to October 2012 at accounts at the Fidelity Bank.

The first instalment of 150,000 dollars was paid on May 27th 2012, second instalment of 850,000 dollars was paid on August 20th 2012, the third instalment of 500,000 dollars was paid on 0ctober,30th 2012 and the last instalment of 500,000 dollars was paid on January 31st 2013.

We therefore without reservation, call on Dr Afari Gyan and Amadu Sulley to resign with immediate effect.

We call on Dr Kwabena Duffuor former finance minister to respond and to be arrested for criminal behaviour and for subversion and treason.

We also call on the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to immediately seize the passports of Dr Afari Gyan and Amadu Sulley from leaving the country.

The overwhelming evidence that we possess which include bank statements, electronic transfer receipts and written statements from former EC staff from 33 constituencies corroborate our findings.

We can also confirm that District Electoral officers in Volta ,Greater Accra and Central Region received monies totalling 100,000 US dollars cash to change electoral figures from Mr Kofi Totobi Quakyi and Mr Haruna Idrissu, members of the ruling NDC.

We call on Mr Haruna Idrissu and Mr Totobi Quakyi to resign from their current positions as Minister of Trade and Chairman of the National Communications Authority immediately.

The New Free Press calls on President John Mahama, in the interest of national peace ,stability and cohesion to order a through investigation and to appoint a new non partisan , non biased and non compromised electoral commissioner immediately per the national constitution.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has become the most corrupt, inept, compromised institution without any shred of integrity. It is simply not fit for purpose and it takes instructions from central government and corrupt individuals. It sells itself like a prostitute to the highest bidder. This is a danger to the stability of the state and a gross failure.

The New Free Press finds its exposure very painful and cutting, but we make no apologies at all at the despicable and crass conduct of Dr Afari Gyan and Mr Amadu Sulley. We are prepared to sacrifices our lives it need be, for Ghana not to become a failed state and we assure the people of Ghana to root out all those who are an impediment to national peace and stability.
