Akufo-Addo wins by 'One Touch'

A political think tank based in Geneva Switzerland (UNITED GHANA FOUNDATION) with membership across the globe sent 6 of their members to Ghana from April 2007 to Oct 2007 to conduct privileged studies on background checks, interviews, Opinions of the general public, and particularly NPP memberships to determine who is the most qualified, experienced , toiled, and winnable amongst the 18 presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party..

In doing so the organization was guided by the following criteria:

1) LEADERSHIP: One who can guide the country to true democratic principles, sound economic polices and financial freedom for all Ghanaians. 2) QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED: One who is competent with ability to do the job and have wisdom gained through long and varied observation in life. 3) UNIFIER:

One who can bring the country together by binding and consolidating all ethnic groups in Ghana as one nation with a common goal.

4)TOILED WITH PARTY AT HEART:

One who has worked long and hard and have pity for the party and country. 5) POPULAR & MARKETABLE: One who is admired, flamboyant, sellable and with international recognition.

6) VISION & ELOQUENT:

One who can plan wisely, have foresight , understanding, is expressive and persuasive.

7) MISSION OF HOPE: One who will dedicate his time to instill confidence, perseverance, challenge and achievement to all Ghanaians to give them HOPE, hope of a better future.

8) TRUSTWORTHY:

One who is principled reliable, loyal honest sensible and seeks equal justice for all.

9) WINNER: One who can compete, prevail and obtain VICTORY for the party.

10) GOD FEARING: One who is religious loving and applies the ?golden rule? and obeys God?s commandments.

The first 5 on the charts are:

1) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo 62.2%

2) Alan Kyeremanten 8.1%

3) Alhaji Aliu Mahama 5.2%

4) Prof Frimpong Boateng 4.1% 5) Dan Botwe/Addo Kuffour 3.5% each The research further found out that from the UGCC which has metamorphosed to NPP (1945 to 2007) the party has always elected their flagbearer at first round of . This tradition is going to be repeated on December 22nd .
