Forced to vote for Alan 'Cash' -Govt Official

Alan Kyeremanteng Poster2007

I was a delegate to the just ended New Patriotic Party(NPP) congress. Why did President Kufuor and his close advisors/ministers try to force us to vote for Alan Kyeremanteng? If Kufuor trusted us enough to appoint us as ministers and goverment officials, he should have also given as the freedom to vote for our preferred candidate.

Chief of Staff, Kwame Mpianim, ******, ******, ***** [names removed by GHP] etc and some others in government were pushing all the buttons for Alan "Cash". The names of other Alan "enforcers" will be made public by me when apppropriate.

In spite of all the pressure, when I got to the polling booth, I used my descretion to vote for whom I thought was the best candidate for our party -and it was not even the winner.

NPP, unlike the NDC, is a GENUINE democratic party and we hate being pushed around.

President Kufuor should have learnt his lesson from the rejection of his candidate for the party chairmanship. Unfortunately, he seems to still think he is the only "Oga" in the party. This should be a lesson to him and his cronies that their time is up.

I wish to remain anonymous because I will not like to lose my daily bread. You know what I mean
