NEWS FILTERING in to the editorial offices of Daily Guide indicate that hit hard by the ?tsunamistic? revelations by Miss Frances Ewurabena Asiam, the Rawlings elements in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have branded the National Women?s Organiser of the NDC as a sorceress or witch.
At a meeting of the Youth Forum of NDC, held at the weekend, at Prof. Mills? Kuku Hill campaign office, the Forum was told how a Pastor George came to the NDC headquarters, last week and was swearing Heaven and Earth for the banishment of Frances, if the party was to win the 2008 elections.
According to information reaching Daily Guide, Pastor George has claimed it has been revealed to him in a vision that Frances is a witch and which is why she has been telling tales about the former president and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.
He quoted Exodus 22:18, King James version, ? ?You shall not permit a sorcerer to live?, adding that this scripture must be fulfilled in Frances? life. When Pastor George was reached yesterday, he confirmed being given the vision by God.
Sources say even yesterday, George was heard repeating that God had revealed to him what was going to befall Frances for what she had done.
Asked what his full name was, George said he would confirm all that to Daily Guide today, Tuesday November 1, 2005 at 11 am.
Furthermore, based on reports made by Madam Asiam to the Police, about threats to her life, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Police Service, last week invited two key personalities in NDC one of whom is a radio serial-caller and Okaikoi North deputy organiser, to assist them in their investigations. Ms. Jemima Anita de Souza, last Thursday reported herself to the Police after Frances claimed she and a certain Asibi Doubaba had made threats on her life that anything could happen to her, should she stay beyond 30 minutes in her office.
Asibi is alleged to have carried a bow and arrow in his car, ostensibly to finish off Frances. Asibi is however said to have broken down and wept like a child, when he was confronted with the allegation. Asibi denied outright he was carrying any weapon of ?mass destruction? intended to be used to harm their party?s national women?s organiser.
He was later granted bail with the assistance of Madam Dzidzor Tay.
On her part, Anita de?Souza was also granted bail through the assistance of lawyer Kumbuor, who was reportedly asked by the founder JJ Rawlings to do so. Reached on phone yesterday, Anita confirmed that they were invited by the police CID, in connection with a complaint made against her and Asibi Doubaba. She said, the police brought them a letter on Wednesday, so she went there, the following day, Thursday.
Following that she said Frances Asiam came back to the NDC headquarters on Friday, to misbehave, which compelled her to go to the CID asking them to invite Frances to advise her on how to behave, and to comport herself since what was happening was an internal party matter.
Anita said NDC women and youth would never forgive Frances, until she had gone to say sorry to the executives and the party?s founder. ?We won?t allow her to stay in office as a women?s organiser?, she said. It will be recalled that Ms Frances Asiams caused ripples, last week with the announcement that through Mr Victor Smith, she was coached by the former president to hurl insults on perceived enemies of Rawlings, such as Dr Obed Yao Asamoah, national chairman of NDC.
At one instance, she said she was called by Victor Smith and told to hang on to the phone, to talk to former president Rawlings at which she was asked to go after the neck of Dr Asamoah, Kwabena Agyepong, Ibn Chambas and Dr Vladimir Antwi Danso.
After her revelations which were given wide publicity, on both radio and in the print media, she went back to her office at the NDC headquarters at Kokomlemle to find it locked up ? bracketed, with wood and nails. She quickly lodged a report with the Police CID on Wednesday, October 25, and was asked to produce witnesses.
