Part One: Heard in passing at a Ghanaian function in London. Four representatives of either the government or Ghana Airways have been sent to Rome on a mission to negotiate for a DC10. They were given $17,000 as T & T for the week long stay.
Where did that money come from? Are they looking for a plane for Ghana Airways or GIA and if GIA then was the funding from the so called bankrupted Ghana Airways' only money earner - Ground Handling. What of the unpaid, hungry workers who are still working to cater for all flights landing in Accra What is going on - what happened to Ghana, our beloved country.....
GIA and Honourable Minister of Transport can never recoup what they have caused to be lost. We had a good thing that had a few problems but what business is never in the red at one time or another. A good shake up with a strategic partner who would have taken control of staff employment would have kept things going. We have killed the goose that laid the golden egg. I rest my case
