Nov. 7 -- "Sniffers" have picked up that even though the President's official duty ended last Wednesday, he left behind the First Lady, Theresa Kufour, in London at the luxurious Landmark Hotel ?1,200 or ?19 million Cedis per night.
According to investigations, when the Presdient left the US for London, the Ghana High Commission made a reservation at the hotel's Presidential Suite for 12 days, even though the President was scheduled to stay in London for only six days.
An embassy staff was interviewed today on an Accra FM station and he confirmed that the first lady was still in London. He could not however say how many days the suite was booked for; meanwhile he is in charge of administration and information at the Ghana embassy in London?
One would want to ask why must the First Lady who is not a government official continue to stay in the Landmark Hotel after the President has left and increase Ghana's liabilities to Willard and Landmark Hotels?
