JJ Attempts To Impose Mumuni On Mills

There is some unease in the Campaign Team of NDC Presidential Candidate, Prof John Evan Atta-Mills on one hand and the top hierarchy of the party on the other over the preference of former President Rawlings of Kumbungu MP, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni as running mater of the NDC presidential candidate.

Close aides of Prof. Mills and other key players in the NDC have kicked against attempt by Rawlings to impose Alhaji Mumuni and already names of other worthy contenders like the NDC?s former Treasurer Baba Kamara and Bole MP, John Dramani Mahama are already flying about with the fury palm wine-tapers blow fire into felled trees in the process of extracting palm wine.

As in the process of extracting palm wine, too many sediment are already floating in the Mills pot and the issue of who gets the nod is yet to be settled. In the ensuing battle to gain tactical superiority of getting Prof Mills to choose a running mate amongst the three persons mentioned, three camps have emerged.

The lead group has former President Rawlings upping the ante with the ?Mumuni for running mate? chorus. Alhaji Mumuni is an eloquent legislator who saw ministerial service in the last NDC administration and is currently said to be breathing fire down the necks of the publishers of the Daily Guide with a 1 billion Cedi libel suit.
