Mrs Akuffo Addo's C125m Birthday Bash (5)

It was on a hot humid wednesday (12.3.2003) while poor folks taking advantage of low prices of drinks and the good life music at Labadi Beach Hotel, Ghanaians and foreigners were treated to the the birthday show of the year.

Our humble Happy Hour was interrupted by the arrival of the Mr. and Mrs. Justice Minister and their 24 guests at the restuarant where the Queen dined i.e. the most expensive of the two at the 4 star hotel. A cool 125 million cedis was blown away on approx. 25 guests. I know the Akuffo Chambers charges 500,000 cedis for consultations, but with this show of wealth what are they portraying to the waiters, who brought the birthday cake into their mist in total darkness.

I use one "Efraim Amu" to buy one gallon of petrol and it hurts my pockets, but my question is do they also feel the pinch that other Ghanaians are feeling?.
