YOUR authoritative paper 'Ghana Palaver' can reveal that as part of its rigging agenda in the coming elections, the NPP intends to use "machomen" from the Ashanti Region to intimidate party agents and electoral officers in all NDC strongholds in the Central Region during counting time at the various polling stations.

Additionally, they also intend sending chiefs from the Adansi in the Ashanti Region to come to the Central Region, especially to the Assin, Twifo and Breman areas to convince the chiefs there about their roots being in Ashanti and the subsequent need for them to vote for Mr J. A. Kufuor and the NPP.

Talking to the "Ghana Palaver" here on Monday, the Central Regional Director of Operations of the NDC, Mr Jacob Allotey Jacobs, indicated that this came to light during the recent tour of the Central Region by the NDC flagbearer, Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills.

However, he narrated the chiefs in the Central Region are now resolved ever than before to face any Ashanti chief who will dare come to the Central Region on any political errand concerning the chiefs.

It is now abundantly clear that the chiefs and people of the Central Region, are now a changed people who will not allow themselves to be swindled away by sweet mouthed NPP politicians and assured Prof. Mills of their unalloyed support for him and the NDC.

The Regional Director of Operations indicated that from the enthusiasm, support and commitment of the chiefs and people in the Central, Prof. Mills will clear over 80% of the votes in the region.

Chiefs and people in the communities the flagbearer visited, expressed surprise at the blatant lies of the President J. A. Kufuor and the entire NPP and were of the view that "there is something spiritually and politically wrong with Mr Kufuor about telling the truth.

Mr Allotey narrated that comparing the visits of the incumbent President, Mr Kufuor and flagbearer of the NDC, Prof. Mills, "all structures of government indicated to us that Prof. Mills and the NDC are about 80% ahead of the NPP and Mr Kufuor.

Consequently, Prof. Mills is very confident as could be judged from the assurances from the chiefs and their people of the communities he visited and said the Agona Nsaba, Nyakrom and Denkyira Traditional Areas took the flagbearer and his entourage by surprise with their massive turn out to receive the flagbearer.

He said the flagbearer has therefore assured his friends, sympathizers and the entire membership of the NDC that come December 7, "I will win convincingly and sweep the whole 19 constituencies in the Central Region".

Meanwhile, the Presiding Member, Mr Kojo Yaquah, has been re-elected for another two-year term.
