UNCONFIRMED reports reaching Ghana Palaver have it that Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada and immediate past National Chairman of the ruling NPP, Mr. Odoi-Sykes, has suffered a partial stroke and has been flown back to Ghana.
For some reason, the story is being kept ‘hush hush’ by the NPP Government. Anonymous sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would neither deny nor confirm the story.
Though they are prepared to confirm that Mr. Odoi-Sykes is in town, they remain non-committal as to whether he would be returning to his post or not.
Observers are surprised that the NPP is keeping this matter a secret, given the Party’s insistence while in opposition that daily medical bulletins be issued on the state of President Rawlings’ health when the latter was in office.
