Owuraku "Stomach Politician" Amofa, a former chairman of the EGLE (Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere) Party, who defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2008 presidential elections left Ghana quietly last night.
Amofa exited the country in 2000, but returned this year hoping to gain favor with the NPP. He stood on NPP platform and openly declared his defection from the EGLE to the NPP.
Owuraku said he joined the NPP because Nana Akufo-Addo, the Presidential candidate of the NPP was his relation and that the NPP is pursuing his grand uncle's (Dr J. B Danquah) .
