The NPP ward chairman for the Kayira Awisam area in the Offinso South Constituency of the Ashanti Region is currently in the grips of the Offinso police apparently for his complicity in a case of ritual murder.
Samuel Yeboah, the said ward chairman, is believed to have been responsible for the death of Yaa Iddrisu, a 12 year old school girl.
According to the report, the throat of the girl was slit and the organs inside her throat as well as her tongue were removed for ritual purposes intended to help the NPP win the Offinso by-elections scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24, 2006.
Investigations are on-going and more details would be made available as the story unfolds.
