The Huge Hotel JAK Is Building.... (5)

...Relocation of JAK and Return of Fathia's House
FACT 1: The government recently announced the de-confiscation of the house built for the family of Ghana’s First President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah. According to the report, the house located at Cantonments in Accra is currently undergoing extensive renovation and will be returned to Egyptian-born, Madam Fathia Nkrumah and her children.

FACT II: A couple of months ago it was reported that President Kufuor had to be relocated because of the construction work at the Tetteh Quashie roundabout.

This the real story and the linkage between the two facts stated above.

JAK bought two buildings next to his house at airport residential area:

  • A 5-storey hotel: This was under construction until July. It would have been the GOLDEN TREE HOTEL -AIRPORT. The Lebanese owner began the construction before JAK became president, but he was made to stop the work for security reasons. After that, the owner was asked to sell it by JAK and his son. The owner wanted $US5.5 million but he was offered $3 million…. We don’t know how much he eventually got.

  • Residential house: The house between JAK’s house and the hotel. Owned by a Lebanese woman.
These two buildings are currently being combined into a huge hotel. This is under construction and can be verified by anybody who goes by JAK’s house.

The president was moved due to the construction work taking place and had nothing to do with the construction of the Tetteh Quashie circle (which is a considerable distance away from JAK’s house). For security reasons, the whereabouts of the president was not announced to the public

Not long after the president’s re-location was announced, the return of Fathia’s house at Cantonments was made public. What’s the link?

This is the connection: The former president’s house was returned because because JAK always wanted that house and he was trying all over the world to have donation to renovate it. No donation was forth coming. The next logical step was to announce the return of the building and then ask for donation

My suspicion is: The government has returned the house to the Nkrumah’s, so they can use govt funds or foreign donations to repair it. After this, the son of the former President Nkrumah will allow JAK to live there with his family, because he doesn't have where to go.

This is all connected to why an Egyptian company was recently given a contract to make meters in Ghana
