Coaching course to herald Africa Junior Championship

Accra, Mar 17, GNA - The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) would organise a six-day coaching course from the 19th to 24th March this year at the International Press Centre at the Accra Sports Stadium. A statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Oteng-Aboagye, Secretary General of GTTA copied to the GNA Sports said Mr Roman Plese, International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) expert from Croatia would handle the course.

The table tennis course, according to Mr Oteng-Aboagye forms part of the preparation towards hosting of the 13th Africa Junior Table Tennis Championship scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium.


It asked all Regional Sport Development Officers to send a nominee for the course in addition to participants from the security service and the Universities.

The statement asked all nominees to report by Thursday March 18, a day before the opening ceremony on Friday.


About 20 coaches across the country are expected to take part in the course, which forms part of the Africa Table Tennis Federation's effort to help promote the game.
