ITF under 18 Championship set for August 27

Junior tennis players from around the world aspiring to improve their world ranking will converge at the tennis courts of Accra Stadium for the much-anticipated GTF/LIFETIME Athletic 18 and under Junior Circuit between August 27 and September 1, 2018.

The organisers of the event, Tennis Foundation Ghana, under the auspices of Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF), have announced new sponsorship deals from Mcdan Group of Companies, Coconut Groove Hotel, Hollard Insurance Company and Internet Solutions Ghana.

The tournament has generated great levels of excitement within the fraternity with indications that some foreign-based players especially in the UK, US and other African Countries will travel to Accra for the one-week tournament.

In a press briefing, the president of Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) Roger Crawford, expressed optimism in the quality and standard of the ITF under 18 Championship to improve.

A visit to the Accra Stadium Tennis courts revealed Ghanaian players are preparing for the event and the enthusiasm is very high.
