Tennis Stars thrilled at Serviceline clinic

Hundred's of children participated in the two-day Serviceline Tennis clinic held at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend.

Aspiring Tennis Stars between the ages of 5 to 14 years where ushered into basic rudiments of the sport to help them build on their skills, self-confidence level and socialize with friends for the long run.

Coaches thought participants how to watch and hit the ball at the right comfortable distance in front of the body, follow through and maintain balance throughout and also prepare well for the game.

After the two day event, coaches and authorise of Tennis took turns to inspire, instil discipline into the future Stars and also advise them to take their education seriously.

Kenneth Adjokatse and Micheal Dosoo were presented with rackets as the Talented Tennis Boys whiles Lawrencia Manu, Naa Mckorley and Komashie Yayrah annexed the Talented Tennis Girls award receiving rackets as well. Six years old Franklyna Affum and 5 years old Mark Maurice Manu won special awards as the youngest participants.

The two-day clinic which was Organized by Service line in collaboration with Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) was graced by Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuna VI, the Paramount chief of Osu.

Speaking to participants after the event, Nii Dowuna VI revealed that he would collaborate with the GTF to allow children train everyday after school and guide them through their school assignment.

Management of Serviceline, Mr. Alex and Mrs. Nana Noi assured the public that they would work hard to sustain the clinic in other to unearth more talents to compete at world stages in Tennis.
