Men’s top seed Tomas Setodji has expressed his optimism of winning the top prize of the ongoing 2017 McDan Tennis Open championship.

The France-based Togolese annihilated Ghana’s Kwabena Ofosu Bamfo 6-1, 6-1 in his opening match on Tuesday.

And despite targeting the ultimate prize he is wary of the other players.

“I know any player can win the tournament but personally, I came here to win,” said the France-based Togolese star in an interview with the Graphic Sports.

“Everyone feels a bit of pressure in sports and I am used to that, but the pressure I feel is not from being the top seed. I don’t know who I am going to play against.

“I have to go to Nigeria after the tournament for another championship, so it will be good if I win because I will use the money to fund that trip as well as my tennis career.”

The winner of the competition will take home $3,000.
