Court Winners undefeated in volleyball league

Court Winners from Donkorkrom added another casualty to their list when they humbled league debutants St. Gabriel Volleyball Club from Konongo by three sets to one, in a week four fixture in the ongoing Akro-Ako Eastern Regional Volleyball league played at Kwahu Obemeng.

The young lads from the Afram Plains won the first set by 25 to 18 and St Gabriel won the second set by 25 to 23.

The game which became open after the second set, saw Court Winners dominating the third set to win by 25 to 12, before they sealed victory by 25 to 19 in the fourth set to make it two wins in the two league matches played so far.

The other match of the day saw Supreme Fingers from Nkawkaw whitewash Powers Hands Attackers from Obomeng by three sets to nil.

The team from Nkawkaw won in the first, second and third sets by 25 to 22, 25 to 21 and 25 to 21 respectively to carry the day.

Adukrom would be the venue for the week five fixtures, which would see A.S Spikers from Asutuare lock horns with Bridge Spikers from Atimpoku, while, Young Stars from Kpong play Hydro Spikers from Akosombo and host Okere United Way will meet Spartans VC from Odumase.

In the ladies’ division, Kpong Ladies would play Asutuare Ladies.
