Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah, founder and leader of House of Divine Glory Ministry International
As Canada reels from its deadliest school shooting in decades, Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah has lifted prayers for the grieving nation, urging divine comfort, protection and healing in the wake of the tragedy.
The founder and leader of House of Divine Glory Ministry International shared a solemn message titled “Standing in the Gap for Canada” following reports of the fatal shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.
“Father, comfort every grieving family and let Your peace cover Canada in Jesus mighty name,” he prayed.
“Lord, restrain violence, protect the innocent, and raise intercessors across this nation in Jesus mighty name.
“May Your mercy speak louder than fear and may healing flow through every wounded heart in Jesus mighty name.”
The shooting, which occurred at a high school in the remote mountain town of Tumbler Ridge — a community of about 2,400 people in northeast British Columbia — left at least eight people dead and dozens injured. According to international media reports, police found six victims dead at the school and later discovered two more bodies at a nearby home.
Authorities said the alleged shooter, described as a brown-haired woman wearing a dress, was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted injury. Several victims were airlifted to hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries, while others received treatment at a local medical centre.
Mass shootings are rare in Canada, a country known for stricter gun laws compared to the United States, making the incident particularly shocking for residents and authorities alike.
Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah’s prayer response also comes months after a message he shared in September 2025, in which he wrote: “Canada, the flag is on fire. Burn completely. Let there be no mass shooting.” Followers have since pointed to that statement in light of the recent events.
However, in his latest message, the cleric’s emphasis was not on forewarning but on intercession — calling for comfort for grieving families, restraint of violence and spiritual healing across the nation. His statement framed the tragedy as a moment for prayer, unity and divine intervention rather than fear.
As Canada mourns the victims and begins the long process of healing, Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah says he and his ministry will continue “standing in the gap” for the country in prayer.
