
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has received a delegation from the Ministers’ Wives Association of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, during a courtesy call at the Ministry.

The delegation, led by the National President of the Association, Lady Rev. Mrs. Monica Wengam, congratulated the Minister on her appointment and expressed their support for her ongoing efforts to promote gender equality, social welfare, and the protection of vulnerable groups.
Lady Rev. Wengam commended the Minister’s leadership, describing her work as visionary and impactful. She also conveyed the Association’s appreciation for the Minister’s participation in the First Africa Assemblies of God Women in Leadership Conference, noting that her presence was inspiring to women leaders across the continent.
In her response, the Minister thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to collaboration with relevant stakeholders to strengthen families, empower women, and promote positive values within communities. She highlighted the importance of collective efforts in advancing social protection and inclusive development.

As part of the engagement, the Minister presented the delegation with a copy of the Affirmative Action Act, encouraging them to support advocacy and awareness efforts aimed at increasing women’s participation in national development.
The delegation in turn, presented a symbolic gift to the Minister in appreciation of her support and leadership.
