Ghanaian recording and hip-hop priest Goddy Wan has voiced out his displeasure after his album "Golden Album" couldn't win "Album of the Year" during the Central Music Awards, 2021.

In a post sighted by Dj Qwequ on Facebook, the artistes made it clear in his statement the investment that went into the launch, which had renouned media personnel attending it, and also the promotions in the media space.

Read in the post below:

No artist want to see his craft downplayed..

Like how can Jay Baba’s album win the Best Album of the Year over The Golden Album at 2021.

The Uniqueness of the project. From message, the highlights on our traditional and religious beliefs and it influence, delivery to production. That album is to inspire and empower.

Did a launch party which was hosted by Samuel Atuobi Baah.

There were guest like Kalybos Bam, Ephraim and many more. I mean a lot was invested in that project to bring out the uniqueness of the craftsman.

So if we put such energy into a project and someone do the whatevers and put the rest of the money on voting. He gets the award coz he got the most votes.

“Every Nominee is a potential winner”

Maybe you’re right but no amount of Votes can tell us that ACCRA is more nicer than DUBAI.

We all know the Truth..

So here is my question; if more people vote for Accra does it make it true that Accra is nicer than DUBAI because the majority voted for Accra, but CANT we all see?

I’m talking about an “ALBUM”

So when it happens like that I expect the board to use their 30 percent power to make best decisions because people are watching..

Yes it’s an investment and you need your revenue back but you focus more transparency and honor.

I’m proud of CMA and their efforts, but if you want to know why the artistes are not engaging then it’s because you’ve made us realize the craft don’t matter but the business does. But you forget the best product get the best sales.
